How to access the ESXi console remotely?

Some Admin tasks on a VMware environment must be done through SSH – we know! So even those who don’t like or prefer to use vSphere Client will enjoy this tip!

Algumas rotinas de administração de um ambiente VMware, deve ser feita via SSH. Mesmo aqueles não tem este costume, não gostam ou preferem utilizar o vSphere Client para gerenciamento/administração seja de um Host ou de Cluster, vão gostar desta dica:

You will never have to go back to the Data Center after the installation. The only thing you need is to get to know the IP Address of Host and enable the SSH.

Você nunca mais precisará voltar até a console do ESXi após a instalação do mesmo. Você só precisará saber o IP do Host e habilitar o SSH – após isso, acesse no conforto de sua cadeira!

The command is dcui

O comando é # dcui

To quit, type Ctrl + C

Para sair, Ctrl + C

This command was run on ESXi 5.5.0.

* Nos prints acima, executados em ambiente ESXi 5.5.0.

Save your steps and go to the nearest machine coffee!

Poupe seus passos não indo até o Data Center e vá até a Coffee Machine mais próxima :)
